Ben has been dreaming of the day that Chance would become his little buddy doing all the activities that daddy loves to do! Well the day has come that Chance can "predictably" ride in the kayak. So Ben and his side kick set out to the pond in Diamond Ridge (this is the neighborhood we own a lot and hope to start building) for a morning of fun! It was a little cold and drizzly but that did not stop these two! Ben sent me a few pictures and I think they both had a great morning. Chance did great listening to Ben. I am sure there will be many adventures for these two in the future!!

New Braunfels Childrens museum
Ben took a few Fridays off in March because he worked so many nights at the beginning of the year. So we decided to have some fun one Friday morning. I was kind of worried because it was Spring Break week but we pressed on and went ahead. Genevieve and Gray met us there. What a great place! Both kids really had tons of fun! Chance loved the grocery store (particularly the lobsters), playing in the water feature outside and fishing, and pretending in all the simulation toys. We plan to visit again! I think the only reason I could convince Ben to go is if we went to Cooper's Bar-b-q afterwards. It did not disappoint!
| Hallie and Gray loved the ambulance. Gray just hung out! |

"The Bucket"
For the longest time Chance has been in our words a "toy hoarder." He tries to carry as many things as he can. For a solution this past year we had last year's Easter bucket to put his toys in. He carried it around pretty much all day long everyday. It went with us in the car, to Gran's house, and outside as he climbed in his fort or just running around. He was very particular on what could be placed in the bucket. You knew it was a very priced possession when it earned a place in the "the bucket." Most times the contents consisted of his Toy Story characters and army men. The bucket had seen better days. The handle was no longer there and duct tape held it together. I am sad to say that this phase has ended and the infamous bucket is no longer a fixture in our little guy's hands. I just want to remember these little things that just pass in a blink of an eye. Night with David Crowder at Hill Country Daily Bread
We sponsored a table at work for Hill Country Daily Bread's annual fundraiser. Ben's parents volunteered to watch the kids for the night so we could go! Hill Country Daily Bread blesses a tremendous amount of people throughout the area. They not only provide food assistance but clothing, hygiene products, toys at Christmas, and an unbelievable mentoring program for families. I encourage people to look them up and see what they are about www.hillcountrydailybread.com. This is from their website:
HCDBM is a faith-based, regional ministry that provides
physical, emotional and spiritual support to more than 8,200 people
living in poverty in the Texas Hill Country.
We are a hub of community resources, services and supplies that are delivered directly to homes by Mentors—thousands of trained volunteers from more than 170 ministry partners and agencies. In addition to food and basic household necessities, Mentors bring hope, encouragement and the message of Jesus Christ to those who need it most.
Our process is designed to foster long-term, meaningful relationships between people in need and people who are called to help… family to family, neighbor to neighbor, a community united to end situational and generational poverty in our Hill Country.
AMAZING!
David Crowder also sang! It was amazing!

Birthday party fun!
We love going to birthday parties! Chance gets so excited to celebrate with his friends. We got to celebrate Mason's birthday with pancakes and pajamas (I know! Katy is so very creative) We are so blessed to be surrounded by such great friends. I just have a few pictures that were too cute not to post. We also celebrated Hank's birthday. I really didn't see Chance the whole time because he was busy playing with Owen's toys and Hallie loved digging in the dirt.

We LOVE outside!
Both kids really love to play in the backyard. Hallie loves Chance's slide and of course he loves the big one that was at the house when we moved in. He has enjoyed eating his lunch in his "fort." They also love to ride in the Cozy Coupe together. It is rather cozy and for some odd reason they like it. Chance more than Hallie! We push them around and they order food at the "drive thru", race with daddy, and chase the dogs! Never a dull moment!

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
The first weekend of the stock show we decided to brave the rainy weather and go check out the stock show. So glad we did! It was not crowded and the kids had the best time. Gran came along as well to have fun. Both of the kids really enjoyed seeing all the animals in the petting zoo and getting up close and personal! We walked around and looked at all the exhibits including one about milking a cow in which you could practice on a dummy cow! We even got free ice cream! Chance had the best time sticking his head thru all the cut outs and posing for pictures. We ate lunch in the drizzle and ended our time riding the carrousel (I was the mom peeling my son's death grip off the pole as he screams bloody murder because he wants to ride again yes that was me). I just love all the pictures from that day! They both crashed on the way home almost instantly. Fun times. To complete the day Ben and I got a sitter for the night and enjoyed dinner and a movie. We had not been to the movies in over two years. We saw Les Miserables. It was wonderful if you have not seen it yet. Really enjoyed the day with my family.
