5 year wedding anniversary!

Looking at wedding pictures today! What a great five years it has been! Ben wrote me the sweetest note basically retelling the past five years! I married such a wonderful man and I thank God for him everyday!

Mommy and Daddy Trip Away!

Ben and I will celebrate our 5 year anniversary next week! I cannot believe it has been that long! I love Ben even more than the day I married this sweet man. I feel so blessed to have him in my life and to also feel blessed to raise a son with him! We planned a trip to ski in Park City for this big occassion! We went a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful time! Ben's parents (Gran and Big Daddy) watched Chance while we were gone. I think everyone had a great time! Ben and I got to ski for three days! I was very proud of myself for being able to do this after taking last year off due to being prego! We really missed Chance, but it was a wonderful time just being together. We even went tubing the first day we were there. I got made fun of because I drug my feet to help slow myself down. Evidently that is not the "cool thing" to do! Park City was wonderful (great food, mountains, shopping, skiing!) We stayed in the Canyons resort which was right on one of the mountains! We rented a car and that proved to be a wise choice! Great to be able to go anywhere when you choose to! We affectionately named the car "Blue Rocket." Enjoy the pictures!

10 months old! (one week late!)

Chance Russell is 10 months old!  What a wonderful time we are having with our sweet little boy.  He is definitely on the move and we cannot leave him for a second.

Fun Facts:

• Is a master at crawling and pulling up on anything (including walls!)
• Can walk around objects holding on very well!
• Says mama, dada, uhoh, night night, bye bye, sealy (in his own way)
• Tries to snap his fingers
• Can sign "all done"
• Loves to "play" the guitar and piano
• Has three teeth (looks like he has an underbite, good thing his mom is an orthodontist:))
• Eats lots of babyfood (favorites are apples, sweet potatoes, yogurt, and mummums)
• Has tried table food (loved the greenbeans from Longhorn mmmm bacon)
• Loves to play outside with dad pulling him and Sealy in the wagon and his swing
• When we put him to bed he says night night and proceeds to jump for joy in his crib before he passes out!

Snow Day!

The city of San Antonio was basically shut down today due to snow!  There was really none on the grass but a layer of ice covered with snow on the roadways!  Stacy and Dorothy Grace are hanging out this week with us so we took the kids outside to see the snow!

We have Forward Motion...

Chance can now crawl! He took his first "forward motion" as Ben's mom (Gran) would say Wednesday! We are so proud of him. You can also see that he is so proud of himself as well! When we put him to bed last night he crawled to the side of the crib and pulled himself up on his knees. I found him like this again this morning. Time to lower his bed!

9 months old!

I know that everyone says this but...Oh my goodness I can't believe our little Chance is 9 months old! He is still the happiest little guy!  Fun facts for 9 months old:

• Still no crawling forward...can scoot backwards pretty good. 
• Loves to be standing up (on the window sills, his toys, and his favorite is for you to "walk" him around)
• Stills loves to suck his thumb mainly when his is tired
• Still loves the dogs (he is partial to Sealy the weanie dog:))
• Laughs with a little bit of Aunt Judy in him (my Aunt Judy snorts a little when she laughs!)
• Can say dada, baba, uhuh, uhoh, and can Ca like a bird! (I don't think he knows exactly what he is saying except for dada he knows who that is!)  He will repeat a lot!
• Has a great arm!
• He a VERY loud eater! When he is done he does the motorboat to signal no more!
• Has a staring problem out in public, he is very much a people watcher!
• Would spend all day outside if we let him!
• Is a morning person. He wakes up ready to greet the world!
• Loves to read books and will turn the pages for you!
