Stomach Bug Attacks!!

The stomach bug got Chance on Wednesday night! I felt horrible as I walked into his room to find him lying in throw up:( I heard him crying off and on in the night but he would cry for a few seconds and fall back to sleep! Little did I know what was happening! He ran a pretty high fever all day and threw up a few times. Ben took him to the doctor just to confirm that afternoon! He just laid around all day and watched Mickey Mouse! Tiffany was with him and loved on him for me! Made me so sad to leave him so I could work! So thankful for Tiffany! He went to bed at 6pm that night and woke up Friday at 7am feeling much much better! I pray the bug stays away from the rest of us! I included a sweet picture of Hallie with her babydoll!

Hallie: 4 months old!

Our little lady turned 4 months old yesterday!  Oh what fun we are having!  She loves to observe all things (her brother, the dogs and pretty much anything else around her).  She still has not rolled over but is close.  She seems very content just to hang out!  Her hair is getting longer and has a few random long hairs here and there!  It seems a little darker than Chance's hair was as well as her eyes!  She may have her daddy's brown eyes!  You can make her smile very easily by just saying her name!  She likes to look at herself in the mirror and smiles at the pretty girl she sees!  She is still sleeping good during the day and at night!  I am still not brave enough to drop the "dreamfeed" but hope to soon!  I can hear her fuss a few times at night trying to break out of her swaddle so that may goes as well pretty soon!  She is better at tummy time and will hang out for a while.  She is very good at holding things in her hands and really likes the same beads that Chance did at her age!  She also has a little doll she likes to hold!  She likes her hear herself talk, coo, and blow raspberries!  She is very ticklish.  We go to the doctor on Friday and I will update her weight!  Miss Hallie weighs 12 lbs 15 ounces and is 24 inches long! About the 35th %! Her head is the 74th:)) I think Chance always had a big head too! She also officially rolled over today after her doc appt! Chance and I both saw it! He was so excited to call Daddy and tell him that Hallie rolled over!

Guadalupe River State Park

This past Saturday we loaded up and look the family to Guadalupe River State Park.  There are rocks everywhere so Chance was in heaven!  He could throw them all day if we let him.  We brought sandwiches for a picnic!  We all had such a great time!  I think Hallie even enjoyed herself napping in her stroller.  Chance was exhausted when we got home and took a 3.5 hour nap!  Fun times!  He is getting to be such a big boy!  Next trip we may need to bring the kayaks and let him try them out, but I think we are going to have more outings like this this summer!

Chance goes to the dentist!

As a good dentist mom, I have taken great care of his teeth.  However, mommy will not be the one who is his dentist (no injections for me) so we needed to have our first visit to someone other than mommy.  He did a great job!  He sat in the chair for them to look at them and count them.  He listened very intently as they explained the suction "Mr. Thirsty" showed him the "water gun" and let him try them out.  When she went to clean his teeth he said "No thank all done!"  He finished the cleaning in mommy's lap and did a great job.  So proud of him!  He got a special prize from Dr. Courtney which included tattoos.  He really enjoyed those!  I pray we only have positive visits to the dentist from here on out!

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's Day this past Sunday.  I think Chance really understood as he gave me a gift Ben picked out and the hand print he made during Sunday school.  I am so thankful to God as he has given me two wonderful children to raise.  I look at both of them in amazement at his creation.  Chance has started to pray on his own at night and it is the sweetest thing.  He prays for our whole family his favorites being Grandaddy, Pa, and all the Mickey Mouse characters!  I love being a mommy to these two kiddos!  We enjoyed a day at the house after church then went to Genevieve and Jonny's for dinner with the rest of the family.  Chance had a great time.  We took a bath there so that is why we don't have clothes on just a diaper for the pictures!

Semiwordless Wednesday!

We spent the weekend after Chance's birthday celebrating Dorothy Grace's birthday in Portland. We had so much fun spending time together. Chance and Dorothy Grace spent the night together in the same room and we had an escapee as Chance climbed out of his pack-n-play. Not sure what his plan was when he got out but he lost it trying to get back in. Poor Dorothy Grace gave an explanation of Chance climbing out! I am sure she will never want her cousin to sleep in her room again!
