Its official...we have moved!

We are officially moved to Boerne!  We have had plans for a while to move closer to our church, friends, and grandparents.  We put our house up for sale the last week of June and had two offers within 2 months.  It was shown 22 times!!  Definitely not something that is easy with two small kiddos, but we managed (suffered) through it.  We bought a lot in a development called Diamond Ridge and we are looking forward to building on this next year.  The closing of the house was rather dramatic with threats of lawsuits between the buyers (not us thankfully)!  But it finally went through at the end of September!  We have moved into a rental in Boerne until the house is finished.  Both kids have settled in great and love the new house.  Chance thinks the house is awesome with the stairs and huge backyard.

Ben and I both rather sentimental about the move when it came.  Persimmon Trail was our first house to buy!  We moved in just the two of us and moved out five years later as a family of four!  This was where we got to know each other, weathered through the times of trying to have babies, and got to know our faithful group of friends!  God was faithful and had a plan and blessed us with our two children during the years we lived there.  We truly loved the Stonewall Ranch neighborhood.  We lived within a block of the pool, loved the neighbors we got to know, and I will miss the two minute commute to work!  But we are excited for the changes to come!  We are now able to be closer to Ben's parents and can do more things at the church during weeknights.

Hallie: 8 months

Oh my how time flies with this little one!  She is still just as happy as can be!  She still thinks that Chance hangs the moon!  He can make her laugh just by giving her the slightest bit of attention.
  • She sits up great and is lunging forward wanting to go but instead lays flat on her belly and cries! n(she still despises tummy time)
  • Learned to clap her hands and says Yay!
  • Can wave bye-bye
  • Can say Mama, dada and bye-bye (lots of jibberish)
  • She can scream bloody murder whether happy or mad (this evidently is a trait I passed down:)
  • Chance has taken on the personal goal of teaching her how to talk and walk he says.  Not sure if he knows the repercussions of these actions on his peaceful world right now.
  • Much much better at baby food.  Her favorites are the orange veggies (mainly sweet potatoes and carrots)
  • Still a great sleeper during the day and night!
  • Has two bottom teeth
  • Hair is long enough for short little pigtails
  • Gets very excited when the dogs are around but will just pull their hair
  • Can drink from her sippy cup and even through a straw!
  • Has the cutest and most infectious little laugh!

Clapping!

First Pigtails!

Into the Woods we go....

We went for a little walk in the wooded area by our house that Chance loves to visit!  He has no fear hiking on all the rocks and creek beds.  He is his daddy's son and could spend all day every day outside!

Boerne Labor Day Parade

Ben and I took the kids to the Labor Day parade in Boerne.  It was so much fun!  This was the first parade for both of the kids!  Chance loved the clowns, marching bands, and the fire trucks!  He now wants to play march all over the house.  He even says hup two three four to keep pace!  We will definitely try to make parades in the future.  He loaded up on all the candy being thrown.  Daddy has since eaten the whole stash!

Girls Night

About a month ago we had a girls night with church at Misty's home.  We had a wonderful lady come out that helped us all paint a picture.  We had a great time painting and laughing.  I showed Chance my picture and he tells people that is my mommy's picture that she painted!  He is proud.  I may need to get a canvas and let him go to town soon!
