Baby Dedication

On Father's Day, Ben, Chance and I got to participate in the parent/baby dedication at church. It was such a special time to commit to raising Chance in a Godly home and teaching him to love the Lord. We feel so blessed to have Chance in our lives! What a better day than Father's day! We got to participate with eight other families that have had babies! (that wasn't even all of them!) Both of our families were there, including my mom and dad and Stacy's family!

This past Friday, Katy and I got the boys together for a "playdate." We had our girl time by going to La Cantera and Chick-fil-A. This outing was much different than our pre-baby outings of before. Much less talking and taking our time. These days we are on a mission of keeping the babies calm. Then the boys got to play together in Chance's room for part of the afternoon.

2 month photos

These were taken a day late, but at least we did it! We go to the doctor in the morning for weight update and shots! We hope for a happy day tomorrow! UPDATE: after our doctors visit we now weigh 11 lbs 6oz and 22 1/2 inches long. All his numbers put him in the 50th percentile. Pretty good!! He did great with his shots. Cried like I had never seen him cry for 30 seconds and then fell asleep!

This was at one month as a comparison of how he has grown! We just love his sweet personality!

We got this for him as a two month birthday gift! He loves to play the piano already (just like his dad) We haven't broke it to him yet that you play with your hands!

At work on Thursday I saw a sweet little girl, and when I got up from my chair she slipped this note on the seat! I was unsure of what the front of the note exactly said, but if you sound it out it makes perfect sense! (Congratulations!) She also pointed out that the lady inside the card was me! She was so sweet! It made my day!

Memorial Day Weekend

We did not have huge plans for Memorial Day. We did make it to the neighborhood pool twice. Once it was too hot and crowded and the other time was perfect. Chance of course slept the whole time we were there! Wish we could have made it to Lubbock to visit the family, but with Ben's new job we will have to wait a little while before we can go:((
