Chance and his Pa!

Today Ben, Chance and I went to Victoria to see my Pa and MiMi. Chance is 1 of 25 great-grandchildren that my Pa has!! Amazing! My Pa is 91 years old and you would never know it! He is full of life and always has a joke to tell you! We all three got flashlights from Pa. He is always one for a great deal! We had a great time!

MiMi is in the hospital after a broken hip, and we went to see her as well. Please keep her in your prayers that she can regain strength.

Ben's parents got this onesie for Chance in Hawaii! They were there on vacation this past week. Chance missed his grandmother watching him, but had wonderful backups to take her place (thanks to Jaclyn, Genevieve and Hayley!)

Chance rolled over for the first time last night! Yea!! I think it might have been an accident, but we will take it. Ben and I just happen to both be with him so that made me happy! He looks like a little turtle when he is on his tummy!

He loves to play with his toes! They haven't quite reached his mouth yet, but I am sure that is soon! Everything goes into the mouth!

Wordless Wednesday

First overnight trip to Mo-Ranch

Ben and I decided that we needed to get away from the house for a weekend. We made a reservation at Mo-Ranch outside of Hunt, TX for Friday and Saturday night. We had a great time away and Chance did wonderful on his first "trip." Brent, Miranda, Luke and Quinn came by to see Chance before we left on Friday afternoon. Luke and Quinn brought him one of their old toys! So sweet of them to share. As always so nice to see my former roomies and their two kiddos!!

Of course the two nights before we left for Mo-Ranch, Chance decided to sleep through the night from 10:30 to 7am!! I was really worried that we would mess him up, but the sweet little guy just did wonderful and continued with the sleeping through the night new place, new pack-n-play, sleeping in the same room and Mom and Dad and all!!! We just love him to pieces!!

Sweet boy woke up sideways both mornings! He didn't seem to mind! I thought Ben put him in crocked, but oh no he scooted that way! He has never done that in his crib!

3 months old!

Chance Russell is 3 months old today! We marked the occasion by sleeping through the night the last two nights! Yeah Chance!!! I sure hope that it lasts! He continues to be a very happy baby majority of the time. He loves to talk to you and enjoys playing with his toys more and more. He constantly has his fingers in his mouth and drools like crazy! Not sure yet if he will be a thumb sucker. He will suck on anything his thumb, fingers, pacifier, blanket, etc. He goes to bed super easy. We put him down awake and will never hear another peep. He is noticing the dogs more and more and will follow them around the room watching them. The three of them are very good with him and pretty much just ignore him (except for the occasional lick by Bailey). Enjoy the pictures!

Swimming again this past weekend at the Cross' neighborhood pool. He really enjoyed it and just floated with us in the lazy river they have.

For the 4th we went over to my sister-in-law Genevieve's in-laws the Collins for the afternoon. We had a great time! There were kids everywhere! Jerri had Chance all set up with his own pack-n-play, room to nap, video monitor, and even his size diapers! Chance also had his first swimming pool experience. He didn't know what to think of the cold water. He definitely was not happy when we first stepped in! But he got used to it and overall he had a great time!
